Common name: hybrid hellebore

Leaf: blue-green leaves, palmately compund with 3 pale-veined leaflets
Flowers: nodding, pale pinkish-green flowers, 3-5 cm in diameter in open clusters, early spring
Habit: evergreen herbaceous perennial; Form: clumping
Height: up to 2.5': Spread: up to 2'
Culture: Winter hardy in USDA zones 6-9. Best planted in rich, humusy, medium moisture soils in part shade to full shade. Prefers moderate shade to dappled shade. In colder winter climates, it would be advised to locate in a protected location (from cold winds), as well as adding some good mulch around the base. Cut back the flower stalk after blooming, to encourage the foliage growth. Drought tolerant once established.
Uses: woodland garden, under story plantings, containers, winter garden
