Common name: Russian sage 
Family: Lamiaceae
Leaf: finely-dissected, aromatic (when crushed), grey-green leaves on upright, square stems. P atriciplifolia 'Lisslitt' LACEY BLUE has very attractive finely dissected silvery leaves.
Flowers: Whorls of labiate (two-lipped), tubular, light blue, tiered, in branched terminal panicals (12-15" high). Blooms throughout the summer.
Height: 3-5' Spread: 2-4'
Habit: hardy sub-shrub perennial; Form: mounded, upright-oval
Culture: Winter hardy to USDA zones 5-9. Best to grow in full sun, in drier, rockier/sandier soils. Very hardy. Drought tolerant. Tolerant of lean soils as long as they are well-drained. Cut back plants almost to the ground in early spring to encourage newer, denser growth.
Uses: In a perennial border. Contrasts well with creamy yellows and pinks. Planted alongside sweeping grasses.
Origin: Himalayas, western China
