Common name: daisy bush, rock daisy
Family: Asteraceae
Leaf: alternate, simple, oblong-ovate-oblong, 2-3" long, with wavy, sometimes with white margins, green above, white-downy underneath (silver-grey appearance), 
Flower: Panicles of bright yellow daisy (Aster) flowers, showy, abundant
Height: 3-5' tall; Spread: up to 6' wide
Habit: broadleaf evergreen shrub; Form: mounded
Culture: Does well in well-drained, medium moisture soils in full sun. Can also tolerate semi-shade. If necessary, it can be cut back (coppiced down) hard, to a 2" stub in early spring, to create a smaller denser bush. Keep in mind that it is fairly slow-growing though.Tolerant of marine exposure. Winter hardy to USDA hardiness zones 7-10. Can propagate with greenwood (half-ripe cuttings).
Uses: in a rock garden, specimen, perennial garden, windbreak hedge (tolerant of maritime exposure), excellent contrasting foliage
