Common name: Mexican orange 'Aztec Pearl'
Family: Rutaceae
Leaf: palmately-compoud leaf, with 3-5 slender (lanceolate to linear), glossy, dark green leaflets
Flower: up to 3cm in width, 5 petals, white, tinged pink in bud, blooming in small clusters in late spring, and then in autumn, showy
Height: 3-6' (reaching taller heights in the Pacific NW); Spread: 3-5'
Habit: small, evergreen shrub; Form: open, mounded
Culture: Grown in full sun to part-dappled shade, in moist but well-drained soils. Prune stems by about 25-30 cm after flowering to encourage the next flowering in autumn. Ideally in a soil of pH 6-7 (weakly acidic to neutral soils).Fairly hardy plant. Hardy to USDA zone 7. Would benefit from a sheltered position.
Uses: superb container specimen, backyard garden specimen near a wall, or protected location.
